The RCom packs will be available from 1st January, 2017. The plans will have unlimited calling facility and will also be bundled with data offers for the RCom subscribers. Reliance Jio has also kept the unlimited data offer or the ‘Jio Welcome offer ‘on all the Jio SIMs till 31st December, 2016. So the next day onwards, a massive tug of war among the entire telecom service providers.

Why RCom’s new plans may still fall short compared to Reliance Jio offers?
Reliance Jio has taken the market with storm with its unlimited data and voice offers. Almost all telecom service providers are chalking up their future plans from January 2017. Jio’s introductory offer is going to end on 31st December, 2016. RCom has already launched its prepaid combo plans starting from Rs. 149, which will be available from 1st January, 2017. But somehow, RCom might fall short in the race in some fields. RCom will not provide free SMSs like its counterpart Jio. The next advantage of having a Jio connection is that the voice calling on the blackout days will also be non-chargeable but not for RCom. Another important field is VoLTE network which is provided by Jio but will not be available in RCom. So HD calling facility will be clearly missing from the RCom plans. With HD calling facility, callers can experience crystal clear and high definition voice without any loss of transmission. But, another advantage of RCom which is rather a disadvantage for Jio is that, Jio connections are only supported in 4G enabled handsets.
