Sending this cat picture will ban your Facebook account

Well, we know it is really hard to believe for you. Facebook, the name itself is an organization and such a huge organization is banning account on petty issues. Sharing this funny cat picture, will ban your Facebook account, effective immediately. That being said, why is such a step taken up by Facebook? It cannot be denied that almost half of Facebook is filled with cat videos, memes, pictures and much more. And a lot of people even “like”, “share” and “post” them. It would never come to someone’s mind that these adorable animal videos are harmful!

Sending this cat picture will ban your Facebook account

What happened actually?

As stated by an individual, when he shared an innocent cat video, his account was deactivated immediately. According to his experience, he was chatting with his friends, and suddenly he started getting logged out of his account automatically. When he opened the Facebook app from his mobile, he got the message of “Session expired” and it asked him to log in again. When he felt that something was wrong, he logged in through his computer and came to know that his account has been disabled, both from mobile and computer. And all this happened within seconds after he shared the photo of that cat. No matter how many friends you have, or how old, how protected your account is, it will get disabled immediately after you share this cat picture.

Even his friends confirmed

Now to confirm this, the person also contacted his friends, whether his profile was visible to them. And it was confirmed by his friends that his account was not visible to them. And also, on the messages section, when his friends tried to click on his profile to text him, a notification appeared that stated “the message has been temporarily removed because the sender’s account needs verification”. Well, you can check the image. We advise you not to use them so that you won’t end up in trouble. Even if you are not posting any abusive, adult or objectionable content on Facebook, that won’t matter. We understand that people are on social media sites to get entertained, gain some knowledge and catch up with their near and dear ones. But even if by mistake you share this picture on Facebook account, you are going to end up in trouble.

The reason is not yet clear

Varun Krishnan, whose account got deactivated, claims that he makes use of Facebook only for entertainment and chatting purposes. And he is certain that after sharing this cat picture, his account got deleted. He claims that he had received that image through Whatsapp. In such instances, if you do not trust the source, then it is better not to share something in Facebook from unknown sources, especially this cat in a suit. A huge number of people are in shock. The real reason why Facebook is doing this is still unknown. But one thing you can rest assured is, if you are not involved in any kind of antisocial activities, and if you have shared this photo by mistake, then your account will be back up again. And this is what happened with Varun, he got his account logged in again in a short time.

There are assumptions regarding Facebook deactivating people’s accounts. Some are of the opinion that the photo or file might be corrupted or a spam file. And such tampered file might trigger the deactivation of accounts. While other people are getting worried about accounts getting hacked. They say that this photo might contain some form of virus that causes Facebook account deactivation and makes your account accessible to the hackers for some time. Since the reasons are not clear, it is safe to not use this photo on Facebook.

A brief survey

To do a survey in this issue, if this is happening with other people too, a writer wanted to confirm this story. And this is why this “Techzie” writer went on to share this photo. He created a different account, used different names, changed the file name that he shared and also deleted the cache data. But his account got flagged almost immediately. It was tried on seven different accounts. You won’t believe, but all the seven accounts got deactivated from Facebook immediately. In case of that Techzie writer, it became worse. Because he was not able to reach out for the “correct” support page from Facebook.

As we stated earlier that the reason why this is happening to people is not yet clear and this is why you really need to be careful that you do not share this picture from your account. You just cannot afford to make that mistake if you want to keep your Facebook account as it is. Well, who wouldn’t right?
