Ola launches Ola Play for Riders
Just like Uber, Ola is now getting into features that make riding in car more entertaining and fun. However the feature will be available only to select riders for now. Those who book Prime rides, they will be the only ones that will be able to get this benefit. Initially the feature will be available to the residents of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and by the end of March 2017 it will be rolled out to the rest of the cities in the country.
So what is this whole experience we’re talking about?
Basically the next time you take a ride in the Prime car of Ola, you will be able to take the whole music stream and entertainment experience in the car, in your control. This means that you will be able to control the music that plays – no longer you having to go with what the car driver is listening to.
Not just this, the cars that have Ola Play installed will come with surround sound systems and large screen systems to give you an immersive experience.
What are the other features?
- Ola Play will also now allow you to use other services such as Sony LIV, Fynd, Apple Music and Audio Compass, etc. Over time the app will also feature tourism and other apps into this device.
- The app will also store your information for several rides. So if you are going to take the same ride to work every morning, it will play your favorite songs that you have played on your way to work the previous day.
- Via this app, the users can not just take control of the music and the radio systems but also the air conditioning of the car. As soon as the user enters the car, all of these features will be in control via your smartphone.
- The user can also decide to make shopping stoppage via the app and they can also decide the destination. They cannot just watch videos but also read e-books via this app.
Ola Play is the first such technology in the world
So basically Ola has tied up with the mobile phone chip maker Qualcomm to make the world’s first connected riding experience called Ola Play. This is more of a cab aggregator that will give you the best in-car experience. It is also the first of such inventions of its kind. The makers believe that it will completely change the way people view and experience cab rides in the future.
