Bigg Boss 10 Winner is Manveer Gurjar
Big Boss is the most popular reality show in Indian Television. This is the 10th season of the show that is airing on Colors TV, a Viacom TV18 group channel. The show is inspired by an international TV show Big Brother where few renowned people are being arrested in a house for several days. Big Boss 10 was started during the mid of the month October in the year 2016. The show is hosted by ace Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The first inauguration episode was aired on 16th of October 2016.
Format of the Show
- Big Boss is a unique show inspired by the international show Big Brother. In this show a set of celebrities are kept in a locked house where they lead a dull life without enough food, internet, mobile phone, news paper and other regular celebrity-things. That particular house has more than 80 cameras installed inside it to keep an eye on the celebrities.
- ‘Big Boss’ is a voice that gives commands to the housemates for their task and regular activities. Here they get limited food and veggies and they have to cook for themselves, they have to wash their cloths, clean the house on their own and do other household tasks that barely a celeb does.
- Every week housemates have to perform couple of tasks like playing games or doing something productive thing and so on. These tasks can be performed in groups and also can be performed individually. Depending on the performance the elimination takes place.
- There is one captain in the house. The captain looks after the daily household course and also assigns work to other housemates. Captain nominations happen in every week. Housemates raise two or three names who can be the captain of the house for that particular week.
- Housemates are asked to vote for other housemates for elimination. The voting process happens in a locked and personal room which is called ‘confession room’. After voting Big Boss declares the names of final contestants who are selected for elimination for the week. The final elimination is done on the basis of audience vote.

- Karan Mehra – Karan Mehra popularly known as Naitik is a TV heartthrob who had been an important part of popular TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
- Rahul Dev – A Bollywood actor who has done movies in Hindi film industry, down in south and other regional movies as well. He has done TV also and now a part of BB10.
- Gaurav Chopra – Gaurav Chopra is another popular TV star who had done many popular shows earlier. He is also famous for his reality shows like Khatron ke khiladi and Nach Baliye.
- Gurnbani Judge – Gurbani popularly known as VJ Bani J is another original contestant in the house. Bani is a famous VJ in MTV India and also best known for her appearance in Khatron ke khiladi and Roadies.
- Rohan Mehra – Rohan is also a TV star who has started his career with show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus. He plays the character of Karan Mehra’s son on the show.
- Lopamudra Raut – She is a model. She already bagged the beauty awards like Miss Maharashtra, 2nd runner up in Miss United Continent 2016 and others.
- Swami Om – Swami Om is a God man who has become famous for his activities related to politics and spiritual fields. The man was contested in Delhi Election but unfortunately could not do anything.
- Akansha Sharma – She is a divorced wife of Cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s brother. The lady came into fame when she filed divorce case against her husband. She claimed that Shabnam Singh, her mother in law has tortured her mentally and physically.
These are the renowned faces of BB10. Apart from them, Bengal originated Bhojpuri actress Monalisa, model Priyanka Jagga, Delhi Fresh Face Nitibha Kaul, struggling actor Manveer, student Lokesh Sharma, Teacher Navin, reality show contestant Manu Punjabi are also parts of the show as contestants.
Controversies related to the show
Big Boss was always famous for controversies that bloomed inside the house between the housemates. This season was not an exception too. Many of the housemates have created a lot buzz while their journey in BB10.
- Priyanka Jagga who was eliminated from the house in first week got back again as wild card entry. But she was thrown out of the house because of her behaviour with other housemates.
- Another name that was in lot buzz this season was Swami Om. The well known God-man has irritated almost all the girls in the house and the worst thing he did was threw his urine to Bani J, another housemate.
- Monalisa who is a famous Bhojpuri actress made big news when she got married on the show in the presence of the housemates and her mother.
Weekend Treat on Big Boss – Guests on the house
Every weekend Salman Khan comes on the show and performs the elimination part. Special guests like Shahrukh Khan, Farah Khan and Govinda appeared on the show on weekends.
