Airtel offers 10 GB 4G data at the price of 1GB @ rs 259through my Airtel app
This announcement has come not long after the company slashed its 3G and 4G data tariff rates. According to this new offer of Airtel the customers have to download the My Airtel app in their smartphones and after which the customer will be given 10GB of 4G data at the price of Airtel’s 1GB data. This free data offer is limited to prepaid users of Airtel only.
This offer that is being made by the company is focused on meeting the trend of cheap 4G data that has been started by Reliance Jio. With this offer Airtel is encouraging the users to download My Airtel app and in return is giving them free data at such lower rate. With this offer the customers who downloads the My Airtel app and then recharges for 1GB data. Will get the extra 9GB for free. So in Rs.259 the customers would get 10GB data instead of 1GB data.
This offer comes as a more hassle free option of getting free data instead of downloading wynk apps that was the case earlier for getting 5GB free data each month. In this new offer from Airtel the user just needs to download the My Airtel app. After which the customers’ needs to recharge for 1GB data, the additional 10GB will be made available to the customers thereafter and it will be with three months validity. The additional free data offer is limited to the 4G SIM and smartphone users only.
Similar offers
Vodafone too has introduced similar offers for its customers. Few weeks back they launched their Vodafone Super Net offer under which users were offered 10GB of data at the cost of 1GB.
Other offers by Airtel
Apart from this the customers who have higher data consumption when compared to other users, are now being given extra 10GB 4G or 3GB data pack as a part of the Data Dhamaka offer. And then of course Airtel has announced that it would be offering its customers with new and more beneficial international roaming packs which would include free incoming call, free messages, special data packs, etc. Airtel has also recently announced another special offer under which they will be offering unlimited 4G data pack for 90 days, at just Rs.1494.
One has to wait and see that what other interesting offers the major telecom companies come up with in order to meet the rising competition initiated by Reliance Jio.
Conclusion:
It is clearly shows that, not only Airtel, instead all other mobile network providers in India are shaken with the launch of Reliance Jio. In order to sustain in the market, various offers are announced and it is to monitor how long network operators can able to provide such offers to their customers.
